In November, two PTS Insight events await you with interesting insights into paper analysis and processing technology – free of charge & online.
Tuesday 16.11.2021 l 11 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Selected optical methods in paper analysis: Use of digital image correlation and thermographic measurement techniques.
Our experts Benjamin Hiller (Project Manager) and Martin Röllig (Laboratory Manager) will give an insight into the non-contact optical measurement techniques of Digital Image Correlation (also called Optical Strain Field Analysis) and Thermographic Measurement. Functionalities, measurement procedures, advantages and disadvantages of both methods will be explained and concrete applications will be discussed on the basis of research projects and tasks from industry.
Thursday, 25.11.2021 l 10 to 11:30 a.m.
FEM in processing technology – mechanical behavior predictions via finite element method
Toma Schneider (project leader) will give an insight into the application of the finite element method (FEM) in the environment of paper-based materials. Basic terms, the model structure and specific properties of paper-based materials will be introduced and the development of a new measurement method and its possibilities will be demonstrated by means of an illustrative example.
